Not three, BCS exam attempts extended to four

The interim government has decided to extend the number of attempts for the Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examinations to a maximum of four per candidate. This decision was made in a meeting of the Advisory Council at the Chief Adviser’s Office at Tejgaon in Dhaka on Thursday (October 31), with Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus in the chair.Earlier on October 24, the government decided to allow one sit for the BCS exams for highest three times. This decision was made in line with the interim government's announcement to raise the upper age limit for government job applicants to 32 years. On the same day, the Ministry of Public Administration announced that it will amend the Bangladesh Civil Service Recruitment Rules 2014 to formalize the change, ensuring candidates can participate in the BCS exams no more than three times.
