Dhaka Metropolitan Police, DMP, has imposed a ban on all kinds of meeting, rally, and procession near the official residence of Chief Adviser, Jamuna, Bangladesh Secretariat and in adjacent areas until further notice. DMP announced the ban in a public notice on Saturday afternoon, May 10.“For maintaining public order and the safety of Chief Adviser, any kinds of meeting, rally and procession have been banned near Bangladesh Secretariat, Chief Adviser’s official residence Jamuna and adjacent areas (Hotel InterContinental intersection, Kakrail Mosque intersection, Officer’s Club intersection and Minto Road) until further notice,” reads the public notice.  Earlier, Dhaka Metropolitan Police banned all types of meeting, rally, procession and demonstration near Jamuna and the Secretariat.
