Emphasizing the importance of standard education, Mohammad Selim Uddin, Ameer of Jamaat Dhaka City North unit and member of central executive council, said, “A standard education institution builds a nation and a country. So, we have to set up more quality education institutions in the country to keep pace with the progressive world. He today morning made the remark as the chief guest while speaking an annual sports competition and prize giving ceremony of Ramna Ideal Dakhil Madrasha at Modhubagh field in the capital’s Hatirjheel. Dr Habibur Rahman, president of managing committee of the madrasha, was the chair while Saiful Islam a cultural teacher of the madrasha conducted it. Muhammad Ataur Rahman Sarker, media & publicity secretary of Jamaat Dhaka city north was the special guest. Our curriculum will be developed on the basis of our belief, religion, feelings, emotion. 90% people of our country are Muslim. So, our education policy will be based on Islamic ideals, modern science, knowledge, and technology. It is a matter of sorrow that our education system is divided into many categories as a result we cannot cope with the advance world, city Ameer added. 

Our education system should be reformed for the greater interest of the nation and the country, Selim Uddin demanded.   

Power centered politics has a negative effect on our national life. The rulers committed extortion, corruption, land grabbing, bribery and looting when they had governed the country. They, therefore, did not reform the education system of the country. Therefore, after 53 years of independence, our education system had been traditional, Selim Uddin alleged. 

Jamaat want to run a new modern education policy where Quran & Hadith will be compulsory. Moral education will be mandatory. People of different religions of the state will also be able to learn their religions, he added. 

City Ameer sought the overall cooperation of the conscious citizens of the society including teachers, students and parents in the qualitative change of education policy of the country. 

Khandaker Ruhul Ameen, secretary of Jamaat Hatirjheel thana east, Bangladesh Federal Journalist union’s treasurer Shahidul Islam, Jamal Uddin, shift in-charge of the madrasha, Maulana Saiful Islam among others were present in the ceremony.
