BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has denied any involvement of BNP in the recent Mitford stone attack and murder, accusing rival parties of falsely implicating BNP for their own political advantage.Speaking at a free medical camp program in Dhaka North on Saturday (July 12), he denied BNP’s involvement and said those named from BNP or its affiliated organizations have already been expelled permanently.“As a large party, a few miscreants might infiltrate, but once identified, BNP takes strict action without hesitation,” he said.

Rizvi emphasized the importance of taking firm action against criminals or terrorists within society or political groups to ensure good governance.

Recalling BNP founder Ziaur Rahman’s approach, he said criminals were arrested and tried regardless of political affiliations, which upheld the rule of law.

He urged authorities to arrest and prosecute the expelled individuals, warning that ignoring such elements would lead to more chaos and violence.

“Terrorists have no political identity and engage in crimes like land grabbing and extortion for personal gain,” he added.

He claimed BNP has zero tolerance for anyone involved in wrongdoing, violence, or murder.

He also accused some political parties of staging protests to exploit the situation and falsely blame BNP but stressed that BNP remains committed to ensuring peace for all.

He called on BNP activists to remain vigilant against criminal infiltration and questioned the role of Dhaka’s police officials in controlling such incidents.
