Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman said, the society in which beauty, virtue, justice and values are practised is a good society and turns into a society of peace, harmony and prosperity.He today evening made the remarks as the chief guest while speaking a winter cloth distribution event at a community center in the capital's Mirpur. Jamaat Kafrul thana arranged the event. Thana Ameer Rezaul Karim presided over the event while secretary Hafeez Ashiqur Rahman conducted it. Jamaat's central executive council member and Dhaka City North unit's Ameer Mohammed Selim Uddin, central working committee member and Dhaka City North unit's nayeb-e-Ameer Abdur Rahman Musa, secretary Dr Muhammad Rezaul Karim spoke as the special guests. Bangladesh Labor Welfare Federation's central vice-president Lashkar Muhammad Taslim, Dr Fakharuddin Manik, assistant secretary of Jamaat Dhaka City North unit, City’s working committee member Shahid Ullah, professor Anuawarul Karim, Sha Alam Tuhin among others spoke in the event.
There is a slogan in our country that a party is bigger than a man and a country is bigger than a party but there is no practical reflection of this slogan in our country, Shafiqur Rahman added.
Jamaat is a pro-people and welfare political party. Jamaat has been working for the sake of humanity. We will continue our efforts in future In-Sha-Allah, Jamaat Ameer further added.
He urged the countrymen to be united under the basis of one-point.
Shafiqur Rahman called upon the wealthy people of the society to stand by cold people.
We are working to build a discrimination-free society, he also added.
Then, he mentioned the social welfare activities of Jamaat and said, Jamaat established a lot of schools, colleges, madrashas, mosques, universities ect.
Mohammad Selin Uddin as the special guest said, Jamaat has been working to build a country free from poverty, hunger and misrule.
