BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said swift reforms required to ensure a fair and neutral election, calling it the gateway to establishing a democratic system in the country. He made the remark on Friday (Dec 27), at a national dialogue titled “Which Way to Unity” held at the Krishibid Institution Bangladesh (KIB) auditorium in Dhaka.Fakhrul highlighting BNP’s commitment to reforms, he referred to the party’s Vision 2030 in 2016, the 10-point demand in early 2022, and the subsequent 31-point reform agenda.“From the beginning, we have been advocating for reforms. The claim that BNP does not want reforms is untrue,” he said. “We want to move quickly with necessary reforms for a fair and impartial election, as elections are the main gateway to a democratic system,” he added.
