Bangladesh dispatches 2nd aid mission to Myanmar

Bangladesh has dispatched its second mission carrying emergency medicines and relief supplies for the victims of Myanmar's devastating earthquake.On Tuesday morning, three transport aircraft of the Bangladesh Army (BA) and Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) delivered the supplies and medicines, following instructions from Chief Adviser Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus.The mission includes rescue and medical teams comprising experts from all three services, doctors from the Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD), the Bangladesh Army (BA), and civilian doctors. The mission includes 55 rescuers and doctors, along with 37 crew members across three aircraft.The teams are equipped with self-sustainment items, including rations, hygiene facilities, communication equipment, and cooking utensils.Additionally, the mission carries eight tonnes of dry food, 2.5 tonnes of water, four tonnes of medicine, one tonne of hygiene products, and 1.5 tonnes of relief tents for the affected population.Earlier on Sunday, Bangladesh dispatched its first relief mission, including medicines, tents, dry food, and medical teams, to Myanmar via the Bangladesh Armed Forces, led by the Bangladesh Army.
