Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami central executive council member and Dhaka city north unit’s Ameer Mohammad Selim Uddin stated, “There is no alternative but to establish a zakat based financial policy for poverty alleviation and building a new Bangladesh free from hunger and unemployment.”  He yesterday night made the remarks as the chief guest while addressing at a view-exchange meeting with noted citizens of the city at a restaurant in the capital’s Gulshan. Thana Ameer Muhammad Zillur Rahman was the chair while thana secretary Abdul Mutaleb Moin conducted it.  Usury based financial policy has destroyed our economy. As a result, the poor are becoming more poor. Therefore, there is no secondary option but to establish a zakat based economic system for the greater interest of the poor. Only Islamic financial policy builds the foundation of a society based on justice. If we are able to run the Islamic economic policy, the gap between the rich and the poor will reduce, Selim Uddin claimed. 

He called on everyone to be united under the banner of Jamaat. 

Jamaat Gulshan thana west unit’s Ameer Mahmudur Rahman Azad presented the darsul Quran in the view-exchange meeting. Jamaat Dhaka city north unit’s assistant secretary Yeasin Arafat was the special guest in the meeting. Aminur Rahman Monir, Hossain-bin-Mansur, Maulana Toufayel Ahammed, Abdul Mutaleb Tipon, Maulana Rahmatullah, Tauhidul Islam Riaz, Hasnain Amin Rasel, Faruk Hossain among others were present in the view-exchange meeting.
