Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus, Chief Adviser to the interim government, has arrived in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, to attend the World Governments Summit. He landed at 11:15 PM local time on Wednesday, February 12, where he was warmly welcomed by Dr Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi, the UAE Minister of Sports.Belhoul Al Falasi thanked the Chief Adviser for attending the summit and provided an overview of the internationally renowned event, which has been held in Dubai for the past decade. The two leaders discussed matters of mutual interest, particularly the potential for cooperation between the two countries in the fields of sports and culture.Foreign Adviser Touhid Hossain, Bangladesh’s Ambassador to the UAE Tariq Ahmed, and the UAE Ambassador to Bangladesh, Abdullah Ali Khasef Al Hamoudi, were also present.Earlier on Wednesday evening, at around 7:45 pm, the Chief Adviser departed from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka for the UAE. After a brief two-day visit, he is scheduled to return to Bangladesh on Friday. The Chief Adviser’s Deputy Press Secretary, Abul Kalam Azad Majumdar, confirmed the information.
