A group of ready-made garment (RMG) workers once again blocked the Dhaka-Mymensingh Highway in Gazipur on Wednesday morning, demanding overdue wages.Workers from ‘Tara Tex’ garment factory in the Gazipura area of Gazipur City Corporation began the blockade at around 8:30 am over unpaid October wages.According to police and local sources, the workers initially protested outside the factory before moving to the highway, halting all traffic and causing severe congestion. Assistant Police Superintendent Mosharraf Hossain confirmed the workers' demands, and police are negotiating to clear the road. Notably, the workers had previously blocked the Dhaka-Mymensingh Highway for three consecutive days, starting last Saturday, over similar demands for unpaid wages. The blockade was lifted around 10:30 pm on Monday, after which traffic resumed on the highway.
