Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman claimed, they have been working for the sake of the country and the nation. Shafiqur Rahman called upon everyone to be united, irrespective of parties and opinions, to build a discrimination-free and humanitarian Bangladesh inspired by the spirit of National Revolution and Solidarity Day. He today made the remarks as the chief guest while speaking a discussion at the Al-Falah Auditorium in the capital’s Moghbazar. Bangladesh Jamat-e-Islami Dhaka City North unit today observed November 7 as National Revolution and Solidarity Day, commemorating the civil-military uprising of 1975. They arranged the discussion marking the day. Mohammad Selim Uddin, Ameer of Jamaat Dhaka City North unit, presided over the discussion while secretary Dr Muhammad Rezaul Karim conducted it. 7 November holds a significant importance in the history of Bangladesh. The post-liberation regime snatched our right to know the history. Awami fascist government banned all political parties and established one-party rule BaKSAL in 1975. They cancelled the declaration of all mass media except state-sponsored four newspapers. People were unable to exercise freedom expression.
