A microbus and an autorickshaw carrying wedding ceremony passengers fell into the canal after the bridge collapsed in Barguna's Amtali upazila. 10 people have died. On Saturday (June 22) around 2 pm, the bridge connected with Chawra and Haldia huts of the upazila collapsed along with the car and fell into the canal. Then the bodies of 10 people were recovered from there.Amtali Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Kazi Sakhawat Hossain Tapu confirmed the matter. Haldia Union Parishad Chairman Asaduzzaman Mintu Mallik said that the microbus was going to a wedding ceremony with some passengers.  While crossing the dangerous bridge, the bridge along with the microbus and autorickshaw collapsed and fell into the canal.He said that several people were injured in the accident. Their names were not immediately known. The police said that the fire service immediately rushed there after receiving the information. Their diving team is carrying out rescue operations at the accident site.
