The mentality of "not making concessions" has been revealed in the behavior of both. Pakistani missiles have hit the Afghan Mulu during the night of Sunday. Islamabad claimed that their attack was aimed at armed militant groups hiding near the Afghan border. In this context, Afghanistan's counter claim was that several civilians were killed in Sunday night's attack.Among the dead are eight women and children. After this, on Monday, Afghanistan claimed that a counter-attack was carried out on Pakistani soil. Pakistan said that Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) militants had built a base near the border with Afghanistan. Allegedly, weapons and money are being supplied to them from across the border. It should be noted that there was a terrorist attack in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province last Saturday.A few people crossed the border into Pak territory and carried out suicide attacks targeting Pak army bases. Seven Pakistani soldiers were killed in the surprise attack. Experts believe that in response to the attack on Saturday, Islamabad bombarded Afghanistan from the air on Sunday night. They termed the attack as revenge.Afghanistan has claimed with a counter statement that Pakistan is targeting the members of the militant group, they are actually in Pakistan's territory. The spokesperson of the Taliban government wrote on the X (former Twitter) handle, "Afghanistan has a long history of fighting with the big powers of the world. At present they do not allow any foreign power to interfere in their territory.The Taliban strongly opposes Pakistan's attack. In fact, Pakistan was seen as the sole supporter of the Taliban for a long time. Despite the presence of international forces in Afghanistan after the 9/11 attacks, the Pak-Taliban closeness has not diminished. Since the Taliban took over Afghanistan's Masnad in 2021, the relationship between Pakistan and Afghanistan has started to deteriorate again.Many could not predict that the relations between these two neighbors of India would deteriorate after Lebanon came to power. It was thought that Taliban coming to power in Afghanistan meant victory for Pakistan. But gradually the picture started to change. Frequent attacks on Pak border from Afghanistan side started. Islamabad also responded.According to experts, one of the reasons for the Taliban's conflict with Pakistan after coming to power is the difference in the views of the two countries. The Taliban had already recognized the Pakistan government as well as the Pakistan Army. So after coming to power, they did not trust them anymore. The Taliban did not want to be a "puppet" of Pakistan even after the occupation of Afghanistan's masnad. It is also alleged that Pakistan changed its position and handed over Taliban members to America.Later, however, Pakistan changed its position again. Islamabad tried to revive relations with the Taliban as the US gave priority to their 'enemy' India on the issue of Afghanistan. However, the ties between the Taliban and Pakistan were not as strong as before. After the Taliban came to power, they did not maintain their old friendship with Pakistan. In April 2022, an airstrike took place in the eastern part of Afghanistan. 47 people died in it.Afghanistan claimed that Pakistan was behind this attack. After that, there were multiple attacks in various parts of Pakistan throughout 2023, Pakistan's border area witnessed many casualties. More than 650 attacks killed more than a thousand people in one year. Most of these attacks in Pakistan throughout the year were confined to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.The province borders Afghanistan. Allegedly, most of those attacks in Pakistan were behind the hands of militant groups sheltered in Afghanistan. Recently, the Afghan-Pakistan border area has become heated again. Many lives are lost in attacks and counter-attacks. Where is the solution to this conflict situation, the international community is looking for an answer.
