
An HSC examinee from Dhaka Education Board Laboratory School and College was not allowed to sit for the examination on Thursday after arriving late at the centre due to her mother’s illness.According to the Education Adviser, the matter is currently under consideration. The update was shared through a post on the Chief Adviser’s official Facebook page on Friday morning.The post stated: “Media reports have highlighted the incident of an HSC examinee being unable to take the first day's examination at the Government Mirpur Bangla College centre in the capital, as she arrived late after taking her ailing mother to the hospital. The matter has come to the attention of the authorities.”The post further quoted Education Adviser C R Abrar as saying: “With humanitarian consideration, the matter concerning the student is being taken seriously. Efforts are being made to resolve the issue of her taking the Bangla First Paper exam in light of the laws and regulations related to public examinations. We share her pain during this difficult time and urge the student not to worry.”
