A meeting of instructions was held at the Sayedabad Bus Terminal today, Tuesday, March 18, as part of a series of activities by the Police Department, BRTA, and transport owners and workers to ensure smooth travel for the upcoming Eid journey.Shamsur Rahman Shimul Biswas, Additional Commissioner of Police Sarwar Hossain, DC (Wari) of the Traffic Department Abul Kalam Azad, Saiful Islam, Abdul Baten of the Owners' Association, Abdur Rahim Baksh of the Workers' Federation, Humayun Kabir Khan and other leaders spoke at the meeting.In the meeting, everyone was informed about the decision taken in the inter-ministerial meeting to bring important places in Dhaka city, including Mohakhali, Gabtoli, Saydabad, Gulistan, Fulbaria, Sadarghat Launch Terminal, Kamalapur Railway Station, under CCTV and electronic monitoring to ensure smooth Eid journey this year.It was also mentioned that all bus terminals in Dhaka city have been brought under this monitoring system on an urgent basis before Eid. The meeting discussed the issues of ignorant parties, malam parties, ticket black marketing, theft of passengers' belongings, robbery, road accidents,The owners, workers, and police representatives responsible for managing the terminal were called upon to play a more responsible role in preventing extortion and robbery, as well as ensuring the safety of female passengers.
