Three people, including a woman and her daughter, were killed and another was injured as a covered van ran over them in Pabna’s Ishwardi on Wednesday morning, June 11.The deceased were identified as Anisur Rahman, 55, a resident of Mirkamari Munnar Mor area in the upazila, Surbana Khatun, 45, wife of Mofizul Islam, a former BGB member and resident of Sadar upazila in Natore and their daughter Purnata, 8.The incident took place in Mirkamari Munnar Mor area on the Dashuria-Kushtia road around 7:00am.Locals said Mofizul from Kushtia was buying lychee from street vendor Anisur in Mirkamari Munnar Mor area when he was heading towards Pabna on a motorcycle along with his wife and daughter.

At that time, a speedy covered van ran over four people – Mofizul, his wife, daughter, and the lychee vendor, leaving them seriously injured.Later, the injured were rushed to Ishwardi upazila health complex where the on-duty doctor declared three – Anisur, Surbna and Purnata – dead.
