
The main Eid-ul-Azha congregation was held peacefully at the National Eidgah on Saturday (June 7) at 7:30am, drawing thousands of worshippers.Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus joined the prayers along with members of the interim cabinet, the Chief Justice, the Chief Election Commissioner, senior officials, and people from all walks of life. With a capacity of around 35,000, the National Eidgah was packed. Worshippers began arriving from 6:00am. Islamic scholars spoke about the importance of Qurbani before the prayer, which was led by Mufti Mohammad Abdul Malek, Khatib of Baitul Mukarram. A special munajat was offered seeking peace and prosperity for the country and the world. After the prayer, the Chief Adviser exchanged greetings with the public and asked everyone to pray for the nation. Security was tight, with police and RAB ensuring safety throughout the event.
