
BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman demanded that national elections be held by December 2025, criticizing delays in the electoral process during a youth rally in Nayapaltan on Wednesday. Speaking to supporters, he stressed the urgency of an elected government to reflect the people’s mandate.Alleging ulterior motives behind delays, Tarique said, “The national elections are caught in a cycle of so-called reforms.”He urged the interim government to ensure polls by December and called on BNP activists to connect with the public, understand their expectations, and secure their support. “The people are the source of BNP’s power,” he emphasised.Tarique encouraged the youth to prepare for the elections and elect representatives through voting. The rally, organized by Jatiyatabadi Juba Dal, Swechchhasebak Dal, and Chhatra Dal, was presided over by Juba Dal President Abdul Monayem Munna.
