
BNP’s acting chairman Tarique Rahman has taken full responsibility for the treatment of four individuals who attempted suicide at the National Institute of Ophthalmology and Hospital in the capital on Sunday. These individuals lost their eyesight during the July mass uprising.The victims have been identified as Shimul, Maruf, Sagor, and Akhtar Hossain (Taher). After ingesting poison, they were immediately transferred to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital, where they are currently reported to be in stable condition.Following instructions from Tarique Rahman, BNP Senior Joint Secretary General and chief adviser of the ‘Amra BNP Poribar’ cell, Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, visited the hospital on Sunday night (May 25) to check on the victims.Medical assistance is being provided through the ‘Amra BNP Poribar’ cell. Rizvi also conveyed Tarique Rahman’s message of sympathy to the injured individuals and their families.
