Police have arrested Md Shahe Alam Murad, former General Secretary of the Dhaka South unit of the Awami League, from the Uttara area of the capital on Thursday morning (April 17).The arrest was confirmed by Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Talebur Rahman.He said Murad has been accused in a case related to the ongoing anti-discrimination student movement. “He will be shown arrested in the case and produced before the court,” the official added.
