
Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami central working committee member and Dhaka city north unit’s nayeb-e-Ameer Abdur Rahman Musa stated, “We are ready to make any kind of sacrifice to protest the independence and sovereignty of the country.” A subservient nation cannot enjoy rights. We are now independent. Therefore, all should work together irrespective of party and thought to protect independence and sovereignty of the country, he further added. Abdur Rahman Musa made the remarks while speaking a discussion meeting as the chair organized by Jamaat Dhaka city north at an auditorium in the capital today evening marking the Great Independence and National Day. Jamaat Dhaka city north unit’s publicity & media secretary Muhammad Ataur Rahman Sarker conducted the event.
Freedom is the cherished treasure for every nation and our independence is the greatest achievement of national life, Jamaat leader claimed.
Jamaat has been working to make the independence sustainable and meaningful as it is a pro-people, democratic and welfare political party, he also cclaimed.
He also called for national unity.
Abdur Rahman Musa recalled the brave national heroes and paid tribute to them, who embraced martyrdom in the liberation war for the sake of the country. He also conveyed sympathy to bereaved family members.
The spirit of the liberation war was equality, human dignity, justice, rules of law, and democracy. But fascist Awami League conducted crackdown on people to prolong their illegal power destroying the values of liberation war. They had turned the country into a mafia state. They severely violated human rights. As a result, they have to flee the country, city nayeb-e-Ameer added.
We want to build a pure representative democratic Bangladesh by holding a free, fair and credible election. We want to build a humane Bangladesh, he again added.
He urged all to be united under the banner of Jamaat.
A group of miscreants is still making plots against the country and the nation. We have to thwart their conspiracies, Mahfuzur Rahman said.
