Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami central executive member and Dhaka city north unit’s Ameer Mohammad Selim Uddin stated, “It is the holy Quran which is the key liberation of world humanity, and the only guaranty of national development, progress and success.” He yesterday evening made the remarks as the chief guest while speaking at an Iftar mahfil at the Yousuf Complex of Bianibazar upazilla in Sylhet’s district. Jamaat Bianibazar Upazilla unit and municipality unit organized the iftar party. Municipality Ameer Jamir Hossain presided over the event while upazilla secretary Abul Kashem and assistant secretary Rukkon Uddin jointly conducted it. Islam is a complete code of life and the rules of holy Quran are universal and just. All sorts of problems of life have been solved in this holy Book. The holy Quran removes the darkness of human mind, Selim Uddin added. Emphasizing the unity and organization, Selim Uddin said, “We all should be worked together and not to be divided. He called on everyone to be united under the banner of Jamaat.
The rulers had ruled the state with manmade law last 53 years but did not govern the country with Quranic law. For this, the society has spoiled. Heinous crimes like rape have increased. Due to anti-Islam education policy, this degradation occurs, Selim Uddin alleged.
Hafez Nazmul Islam, former Bianibazar upazilla chairman, Bianibazar upazilla Ameer Faizul Islam, Abdullahil Baki –al Chowdhury, principal of Bianibazar Kamil Madrasha, were the special guests. Maulana MAhbub Ahammad, Maulana Nizam Uddin, Maulana Abul Kalam among others were present.
Jamaat Mohammadpur thana unit held a discussion meeting titled on the importance of Zakat in poverty alleviation. Public leader Muhammad Mubarak Hossain, Jamaat candidate for Dhaka – 13 constituency, and member of central executive council was the special guest.
