Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has said that stern action will be taken against those whoever were involved in robberies in three banks and looting arms. A crack-down operation will be launched against the terrorists from today, he said. The minister said this while visiting the bank at Ruma upazila in Bandarban on Saturday. He said that action will also be taken against the detectives if there is any failure of them.State Minister for Chattogram Hill Tracts Affairs Kujendra Lal Tripura, lawmaker Bir Bahadur U Shwe Sing, Bangladesh Border Guard (BGB) Chief Major General Mohammad Ashrafuzzaman Siddiqui, Ansad VDP Director General Major General AKM Aminul Haque and Additional Commissioner of Police Monirul Islam were, among others, present during this time.Earlier in the day, Home Minister went to Bandarban to inspect the overall situation there as law enforcers on Thursday (4 April) rescued Sonali Bank’s manager Nizam Uddin within 48 hours after the abduction.
